Rosy Cruise is usually sold as a Halong Bay cruise, but this ship's itinerary belongs to Lan Ha Bay: you check in at Tuan Chau in Ha Long, sail into Lan Ha for a swim stop, sleep at anchor and visit the Dark and Bright Caves by bamboo boat the next morning. Our verdict: a well-sized, clearly described ship with an honest Lan Ha route; book it on Klook for the written cancellation terms the operator does not publish.

Rosy Cruise ship and cabins

Rosy launched in 2019 as a steel boat with 22 suite cabins, each with a private balcony and a bathtub. The restaurant is on the fourth deck, an outdoor jacuzzi sits at the front of the third deck, and the fifth-deck sundeck has a sky bar. Cabin types are Senior, Luxury and Junior suites (all with a private ocean-view balcony), a Honeymoon suite with a private terrace, a Deluxe Triple and a Family Connecting cabin. Bathrooms are marble with a bathtub and a standing shower.

The operator describes Rosy as "equivalent to a 5-star standard". That is its own wording: Vietnam's ship rating is voluntary and no Lan Ha ship has a confirmed national 5-star decision. Judge it by the facts above, which are good for its price band.

Rosy's Hanoi sales office is 23 Hang Voi St, the same address the Doris and Erina sites give. That suggests a shared sales office, not proof of common ownership. See Doris if you are trying to make sense of that family of names.

Rosy Cruise route: Lan Ha Bay from Tuan Chau

Rosy boards at the Rosy waiting lounge in Tuan Chau International Marina (its Ha Long office is Block 26). From there a tender takes you to the ship and you cruise into Lan Ha over lunch. The afternoon stop is a swim, with a guided kayak where permitted. On Day 2 you visit the Dark and Bright Caves (hang Sáng – hang Tối) by bamboo sampan. Every named stop is on the Lan Ha side. For how the Tuan Chau check-in works, see Lan Ha piers.

On the 3-day trip, guests heading to Cat Ba can take Rosy's small boat to Gia Luan port at the end instead of returning to Tuan Chau, which saves the drive back through Ha Long if your next stop is Cat Ba Island.

Day 3 returns to the Dark and Bright Caves. More on the village in Viet Hai.

Lowest adult price per person in USD, checked on October 16, 2026. Cabin type, dates and what is included differ between listings: open each one before you pay.

Klook is the cheaper channel, from $178 per person with 19 reviews and over 200 bookings; the GetYourGuide listing starts at $201 with no reviews yet. One agency lists Rosy from $145, but agency prices usually exclude the Hanoi transfer, so compare like with like. Cabin type and inclusions can differ between listings.

Included: all meals, tender, entrance and sightseeing fees, bamboo sampan, squid fishing, tai chi, the jacuzzi (seasonal), Wi-Fi and an English-speaking guide.

Extra: drinks (priced above shore prices), the shared limousine to and from Hanoi, and tips. The homepage advertises a "free limousine bus", but the itinerary pages list it as excluded; treat it as a periodic promotion and check your voucher. Card payments direct carry a 4% surcharge.

What travelers say about Rosy

Platform reviews are few (19 on Klook, 4.7 average), and an agency shows 9.5 from 160 reviews. That is enough to rule out a poor ship, not enough to judge the details. Before booking, look at recent reviews that name Rosy and check the photos match the 22-suite steel ship.

How to book and cancel

The operator publishes no child or cancellation policy, which is the main reason to book through a platform. Klook sets cancellation per activity: read it on the product before paying. Direct bookings with Lan Ha operators usually charge fees from 30 days out and 100% inside 7 days. Storm cancellations come from the port authority, not the cruise line; refunds follow the platform or operator terms, so keep a buffer day before flights. Most ships ask for passport details 24 hours before sailing. Full steps in how to book.
