The fleet: one overnight ship, three day boats
Cozy Vietnam Travel, part of Cozy Vietnam Group, put its first boat into Ha Long in 2012. By 2024 it ran four vessels:
- Cozy Bay Grand, the only overnight ship (2D1N, Ha Long Bay).
- Tropical, a day boat into Lan Ha with a landing on Cat Ba.
- Cozy Bay Premium and Sea Lion, day boats in Ha Long, about 6.5 hours, from USD 49.
The Ha Long office is at 07 Ngoc Chau, Tuan Chau Marina, and every Cozy boat leaves from Tuan Chau.
Cozy Bay Grand: cabins and route
Cozy Bay Grand has 17 cabins for a maximum of 36 guests. Two types are listed: Deluxe Sea View of about 18 m², from USD 139 per person, and Deluxe Balcony of about 22 m², from USD 169 per person. It is a small ship with simple, compact cabins, not a large balcony-and-bathtub liner.
The route is Ha Long Bay only: Ti Top island, Luon Cave by kayak or bamboo boat, and Sung Sot Cave. It boards at Tuan Chau. The GetYourGuide title says so honestly ("2-Day Halong Bay Overnight"). Tropical: Cozy's Lan Ha day cruise
Tropical is the reason a Lan Ha traveler should know the Cozy name. Unlike most Tuan Chau day boats, it lands guests on Cat Ba: you get off at Gia Luan pier, ride an electric car to Trung Trang Cave and the Cat Ba National Park museum, then sail to Tra Bau lagoon for a swim, a water slide and inflatables.

The official price is from USD 58 per person, all-inclusive with the Hanoi bus; a drop-off on Cat Ba is listed as an option. On Klook it is from $38 with over 1,900 reviews, on Trip.com from $41. The Grand fare includes four meals, entrance fees, the kayak or bamboo boat, a cooking class, guide, insurance, government taxes and the Hanoi shuttle from 12 meeting points (buses over 16 seats are banned from Hanoi's Old Quarter). Holiday surcharges are 400,000 VND on 24 and 31 December, 300,000 VND at Tết (Lunar New Year) and 200,000 VND on 30 April, 1 May and 2 September.
Klook (from $116) and GetYourGuide (from $118) are within about $2 of each other today, but the two listings use different ship names, Classic and Grand, so they may not be the same product. Read the ship name and cabin type before choosing on price.
How to book and cancel
Cozy's direct terms are strict for the overnight ship: more than 40 days out, 10% is kept as credit; 40–30 days, 35% of the deposit; 29–15 days, 50% of the deposit; 14–10 days, 75% of the total; under 10 days, 100%. For day cruises the terms page gives a full refund 3 or more days out, 50% at 2 days and nothing at 1 day or for a no-show, while the home page advertises free cancellation up to 24 hours. Go by the terms you actually accept.
